On July 3, 2019, a delegation from Bolgar Islamic Academy, in the Russian Federation, visited the General Secretariat of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World, where it was received by Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, supervisor of the Federation. The delegation was briefed about FUIW, its roles; activities and future plans.
During the meeting, Professor Daniar Abderrahmanov, Director of the Academy, outlined the Academy, its objectives and areas of work in preserving the Islamic heritage of Russia, developing traditional religious education, combating extremism and preserving peace.
The head of the delegation also expressed the Academy’s desire to become a member of the FUIW in order to enhance cooperation between the two sides in areas of mutual interest.
