FUIW Executive Council to hold its 22nd session at ISESCO headquarters, Rabat

The Executive Council of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) will hold its 22nd session at the headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in Rabat, on 25-26 December 2018.
The Council will discuss two reports of the Federation’s Secretary General on the activities of the General Secretariat between the 21st and 22nd sessions of the Council, the Federation’s Financial Situation for 2016-2017, and the Draft Action Plan and Budget for 2019-2021.
The Council’s agenda also features the discussion of many reports on the following academic projects: the “Islamic Virtual University”; the “Implementation of the Performance Measurement Mechanism for the Universities of the Islamic World and Its Roadmap”; the “Launch of the Web-portal of the Network of Strategic Planning Experts in Member Universities”; the “Draft Statutes of the Leagues of Parallel Faculties”; the “Center for Higher Education and Scientific Research Ethics”; and “Tafahum Programme for the Exchange of Students, Researchers and Teachers”.
Moreover, the Council will appoint the members of the Board of Administration of the “Center for Higher Education and Scientific Research Ethics” based in Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and adopt the draft amendment to the Center’s Statutes.
It will also examine two projects of the establishment of the “the Chair on Knowledge Economy” in the Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the “International Institute for Women and Justice (IIWJ)” in the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, in addition to several membership applications from universities and high institutes in the Islamic world.
Established in 1987 in Rabat, the FUIW works under the aegis of ISESCO and has so far admitted to its membership 322 universities and high institutes.
