ISESCO Director General awards ISESCO Science and Technology Prize to Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

The Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, today afternoon in Astana, awarded ISESCO Science and Technology Prize to Prof. Galimkair Mutanov, Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, in recognition of his pioneering research works and outstanding contributions to scientific research in the Islamic world.
This event was attended by Mr Yerlan Sagadiyev, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It is worth noting that the winner of the 2016 edition of ISESCO Science and Technology Prize was announced at the close of the opening session of the Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held by ISESCO in Bamako, Mali, on 14 November 2016, in cooperation with the Malian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in collaboration with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), under the high patronage of H.E. Mr Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, President of the Republic of Mali.
